Performing at the UK concert

London's Bloc Party played a springy update of postpunk on their first international success, "Banquet." They were showered with acclaim from the music press and set about forming a cult army in the Americas, where alternative radio fawned on their full-length debut, "Silent Alarm." This year they released their second album, "A Weekend in the City," which raises lead singer's Kele Okereke's emotional stakes and blood pressure, fully delivering on the acclaim and promise of their outburst.
