Performing at the Japan Concert

If there's a movie score that you love, the chances are high that Michael Nyman wrote it. This musically versatile Englishman has had an amazing career, composing works for screen, television, and video games, in addition to his own impressive opus of orchestral material. He is perhaps most well-known for his soundtrack to the Jane Campion-directed "The Piano" (1993), as well as his collaborations with director Peter Greenaway in films such as "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover" (1989).
